Brother: Siris (see-rees), Benden Hold, Holdbrat
Age: 3 Winter Birthing Day
Description: Siris has red hair just like his brother Siran. In addition, he has inehirted his father's almond-shaped green eyes. At the moment, he stands at exactly three feet and he is still a growing boy.
Personality: Being only three turns of age, it is still a little too early for him to have a set personality.
Appearance: Sirai is blessed with good bone structure. His hair is midnight black with a bluish tint during the day, and just a little too long. Sometimes it has the tendency to curl at his forehead and the back of his neck. Sirai's hair is very silky and shiny that any girl would envy and usually has his hair up in a no nonsense braid. In the summer, most people’s hair lightens due to a natural reaction the sun - but Sirai’s hair never seems to get any lighter at all. It would not be surprising if it stayed black even when he becomes elderly.
But his favorite aspect of his appearance is his eyes. They are big and blue - endlessly soulful, and ever-betraying his innermost thoughts and emotions. He has long dark eyelashes that are usually hidden behind hides and scrolls that he likes to read.
Sirai has grown well into his nearly 6’ stature, with broad shoulders and runner’s legs. In addition, he is graced with an athlete's body and his skin is a light tan, despite his fondness for being inside with any bits of literature or well, any sort of writing what-so-ever really.
As aforementioned, he has a good bone structure, a strong jaw line, and nice lips. Maybe if he wasn’t always hiding it behind a book, or bent over a scroll, more people could appreciate it. He walks around with an expression that is something akin to a lost puppy, where most have a strong desire to take care of him if they were not put off by the vibe that he unconciously eminates.
His teeth are straight and white (and happens to be the first thing he notices about other people) and are always revealed when he smiles. He does smile a lot, but most of the time his expression is pensive, and certainly not without warrant.
Personality: Sirai has a laid back kind of personality. He is not one to be found panicking needlessly and usually helps to find solutions to problems. He likes to take things leisurely almost to the point of procrastinating although he does get the job done. Sirai is kind of hard to get to know for he has this unapproachable vibe around him. One could say that it is a fault of his personality. But, do not get me wrong, he is the most amiable sort of fellow. It is just that the way he carries himself puts others off. Once you do get to know him, Sirai is the kind of person where one could express his or her most deepest darkest secret and not worry about it being spread around the weyr. He is a warm and kind person always quick to offer his help. Sirai does not like to tattle nor does he like people who spread rumors about others. He believes that secrets must be held dear to oneself should a person deem you worthy enough to share a secret. In addition, he firmly believes that promises must be kept and never broken. He has a dim view of others who do not keep their promises. He is a sure friend to the end and very protective of them too. He is quick to correct others about their etiquette and manners especially if they are his elders. One could almost say that there is no joy in his life but he is quick to laugh at his mistakes and his blunders. And he has an optimistic way of looking at things in life.
In addition, unlike his brothers and sisters, Sirai has a great love of learning. He started learning to read and write at a tender age of three turns old. Sirai is a pretty quick learner and has a talent for remembering things, obscure or otherwise, better than most people can. However, his best skill is his eloquent speech. He uses wit, intellect, some sarcasm, and a whole lot of charm to appeal to people... it’s a common consensus that he could probably convince a Thread to turn around and go back home just by talking to it. During his free time, Sirai likes to alphabetize things, or arrange things in color gradient patterns, and hire himself out as a writer for those who are unable to do so (be it for illiteracy, blindness, laziness, etc.). He enjoys swimming, and sky-gazing (he’s the head-in-the-clouds kind). He also likes to visit and talk with Artists, if that can be considered a hobby. As for his faults, one would say that his low opinion of those who are considered dimglows or deadglows is a failing trait of his personality. He also thinks that other men do not compare to his sense of fashion when it comes to choosing clothes that will not clash colors. And another trait that may be considered a fault is that when he gets engrossed in his reading, he would normally ignore his surrounding so you'll have to actually physically disturb him to get his attention. And last but not least, for all that he would love to be a dragon rider, he has a great fear of heights because of the accident when he was younger. He used to get nauseous and in rare occasions faint should he be given the visage that he was standing on air or should he be near the edge or a window. As long as there was solid footing beneath his feet, he was fine, otherwise, he would start to freak out.
History:
It was the late winter of the turn 4004. Aislan was 18 turns old and she was allowed to accompany her mother when she, Aislan's mother, went to the Weyr to give her finished weavings to those people that ordered them from her. It was a crisp bright day and they were promptly received and ushered into the lower caverns where the weyr hall was located. There, they were given mugs of hot klah each and were told to wait for the people who will collect her mother's weavings when suddenly, a great bellow was heard through out the weyr. Gold Ulith had Risen to mate. Aislan was totally unprepared for the strange sensations crawling through her body. Quite frankly, she didn't know what was happening to her and that just made her worry more. As time passed, the sensations gradually decreased but with it she was experiencing increasing pure unadulterated lust. When she had looked at her mother, she didn't seem to be in anyway disturbed like she was. Striving for anything to do, she had asked her mother if she could explore the weyr on her own, her mother fearing nothing would be wrong about that let Aislan wander.
As Aislan wandered near the weyrbowl, it was then that she noticed the graceful body of Gold Ulith in the air flying without her rider. Seeing the riderless gold jolted Aislan's mind to what it all meant. Ulith was flying to mate. And somehow, Aislan was so mezmerized about the flight that she unwittingly wandered to where the other riders had gathered around the gold rider. And of course, as the winning dragon caught Ulith, the others slowly unmerged from their dragon but they were still sexually in overdrive. By pure happenstance, Aislan was caught in the gold's projected emotions that she never even knew that one of the riders had turned to her and started doing the deed with her. Aislan's whole being was being overwhelmed with the pure emotions and feelings that she didn't even fight back and allowed the rider to have sex with her. It was rought, hard, fast and over too soon. The rider thinking that Aislan was one of the willing partners had left her without any intorductions nor a glance back at her sleeping satiated form. Aislan felt like waking up from a drugged sleep. She wondered at her nakedness and at the soreness of her body in places she didn't even know existed. However, the soreness was not at all painful but, it left her feeling well... satisfied was the best thing she could describe. As she came fully awake, she realized that her mother must be already ready to leave. In haste, she dressed and totally forgot about what had just happened to her. However, after a month, it was clear to her that something must have happened because she found out that she was pregnant and she didn't know who the father was. Sireno was one of Aislan's suitors who did not mind her having someone else's child. He was understanding of the fact that things happen when one is under the influence of... the mating lust of dragons. They were married not soon after Aislan found out that she was pregnant.
And in the turn 1188, Sireno named their first born son, Sirai. Sir from his own name, Sireno and ai from Aislan. Sireno treated Sirai just as if he was his own flesh and blood. And as the turns passed, Sirai grew up to love Sireno and Aislan just like any child would love his own parents. Sirai was a silent child, never one to cry out loud when in the hands of strangers, especially when his mother left him at the creche with other hold babies and holdbrats. He learned to walk at a very young age of ten months old. And just like the children from old Earth, his first word was Dada at thirteen months old. As time passed, it was rather evident that Sirai was a very intelligent child. And by age three on 4008, he was being thought how to read and write by his Harper of a father, Sireno. In addition, Aislan gave birth to his brother, Siran. Life went on as usual for Sirai with the sole change of having Siran as part of their family now. Once in a while, Sirai will help his mother to take care of Siran, but usually, Sirai will be found practicing his letters or trying to read one of the hide records in the hold.
Sirai's love of learning and reading has made him rather too advance for those children his age and so, we find him in the company of older holdbrats as his playmates. Sirai thought that those of his age were not worth his time because they did not understand the things that he did. Sometimes they, the older holdbrats, played rough forgetting the fact that Sirai was really young. Therefore one day, when he was barely four turns old in 4009, while he was playing with the other older kids, he got accidentally pushed out a window and fell five feet to the ground. He got a broken leg and arm which both healed nicely enough without any visible scars. However, since that time, he has been afraid of heights. So long as there is solid ground or floor beneath his feet that he could visibly see, he was fine. However, place him near a window and he starts to freak out; and sometimes ends up fainting because of his fear of heights.
When he turned five in 4010, Sirai has learned to talk so eloquently that people especially strangers are taken aback at his wit and intellect. They would have guessed Sirai as being a child of ten when he was in fact only five. In addition, Sirai has started trying to teach his young brother Siran who was only two turns old how to speak properly. In 4011, his mother gave birth to twins a boy and a girl. They were named Renolan and Lanire respectively. They were two new additions to his family. In addition, he now started to attend the lessons thought to all children by the resident Harper in the Hold. He would usually want to be the best and the brightest among the group of children. Since he already knows how to read and write at this time, the Harper then began to teach him the Teaching Songs and Ballads. Time passed quickly with his life being in a sort of routine. And only important aspects in his life remain lodged in his brain like the birth of another sister who was named, Airen, in 4014 just a few sevendays after he turned nine turns old. By this time, Sirai has develop a love for always arranging things either alphabetically or by color gradient. This habit formed because he would always pick up after his brothers and sisters who always seem to leave all their toys on the floor. Sometimes, to escape the hussle and bussle in their hold, Sirai would venture out alone to swim in the nearby lake and gaze at the sky as he let himself get dried under the sun.
In 4017 his life was dealt a shocking blow when his mother died as she gave birth to his youngest brother, Siris, a few months after he turned twelve turns old. Despite this, Sirai still loved his brother Siris even if his birth caused their mother's death. Instead of going into grief and despair, he took over taking care of Siris and his other brothers and sisters. However, because of his mother's death, he had formed a deeper bond with Siris for the reason that he, Siris, was the only memento he had left of his mother. At his mother's funeral, one of the guests had given a portrait of his mother as a parting gift. He was so impressed with the drawing that he started to visit and talk with Artists asking questions of how they made their drawings. As time passed, since he was taking care of his brothers and sisters, he developed the habit of always correcting their etiquette and manners that in the end, Sirai could never stop himself from correcting strangers in the proper etiquette and manners. When he had turned fourteen on 4019, Sirai began to wonder why he looked so much different from his other brothers and sisters. And one day, he asked his father why it was so. He was rather shocked to learn that he in fact was not his father's "real" son but someone elses. However, his father adamantly declared that even if that was so, Sirai can rest assured that his father claims him as his own flesh and blood no matter the facts of his birth. After the shock wore off, Sirai got to thinking and in the end, he didn't care if Sireno wasn't his "real" father. After all these turns, to him, Sireno was his one and only "real" father.
A turn passed and when he turned fifteen in 4020, he told his father his lifelong dream of becoming a dragonrider. His father, Sireno, wasn't surprised and gave his blessing and permission when Sirai set off for the weyr to become a candidate. However, on his way, a blue dragonrider passed over head and they landed near him. As they landed, Sirai was struck speechless at how huge and big the dragon was even if he was just a blue. This was the first time that he saw a dragon up close and personal. Before the rider could talk to Sirai, there seemed to be some sort of conversation going on between rider and dragon. Sirai waited patiently by the side of the road. He was rather nervous of why they were just there arguing by themselves. And after what seemed like an eternity although it was only less than five minutes. The rider informed Sirai was his blue dragon thinks that Sirai has been Searched as a Candidate. The rider hastilly helped Sirai to ride the blue dragon. It was just luck that Sirai was too thunderstruck with the events that unfolded which was why he did not notice that he was flying a-dragonback to the weyr. Only the jolt of the dragon's landing onto the weyrbowl gave him the necessary interruption which made him aware that he was rather high up from the ground. It was all he could do not to disgrace himself in front of the rider by fainting dead away. And so, we found Sirai in the weyrbowl without any idea of where to go and what to do next.
It was the turn of 4020 when Sirai Impressed Bronze Zwaarth. He had not been long at the weyr and he still did not know a lot of people or even his fellow weyrlings. But he hopes to remedy that problem soon enough with him being a junior bronze rider. After all, a bronze rider is expected to know all dragons and their riders.
Dragon stats
Name: Zwaarth
Age: few sevendays old (4020)
Description: He is on the smaller side just now, but it is uncertain what life hold for him with that. His coloring it as hard to discern as the rest of him and is patched with various colors. His main coloring seems to be a slightly off gold just enough to not be a gold, but still close enough that distance might make him look that way and the odd green flecking helps too to make it more bronzy then a true gold. Within that goldish bronze though are those splotches some dark bronze some light bronze, but over all just making him look rather odd especially with the rather light bronze patch around his left eye that includes the outer most lid and the dark one on his right.
Color: Bronze
Personality: Once this boy has set his mind to something good luck changing it. He hardly ever does anything right and can never seem to find anything good or right in what he has done. He is just an odd boy.
Clutch: Gold Olyth and Bronze Reneth
Impressing Details:
The first egg to shatter was a cool and calm looking one. Greens and browns, grays and tans are the colors the small egg held before the pieces were sent flying every which a way. The surprise came when the dragonet that tumbled out was a rather golden looking color. It hadn’t come from the gold egg though so surely it wasn’t a gold.
The dragonet didn’t seem to mind the whispers it had drawn though and remained still for a long moment before pulling it’s self to it’s feet bugleing loudly. Moving some the muscles played under it’s hide and showed off the bronze patches here and there and the definite bronze patches over either eye. It was truly a bronze and there for a male, but he looked like a ‘Golden’ Male. He could care less about little else though then his search, he had to find his chosen.
The ‘Golden’ Male was still searching. He had been unable to find the One for him yet and actually now that he had made a full trip of candidates he turned his attention to the stands.
He moved forward watching the gathered people not in white. He saw nothing, where was he. He knew His was here there was a slightly odd feeling in the back of his mind this tingling like thing, that told him He was. His tail swayed behind him as he kept going, he would find him. He was sure of that.
Having made an entire round of the grounds now The ‘Golden’ Male was getting worried, he couldn’t find His. He could feel him, he could, he just couldn’t find him why was His hiding from him. The bronze dragonet sat down in the sands creeling loudly, the sad heart wrenching sound of a dragonet who can’t find their lifemate.
Trying one last time he reached out to the ‘feeling’ of his chosen groping desperately for the mind of the one he needed. Finally with that last ditch effort he managed it, he could barely feel it, but he could finally feel the mind of His. Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine. He repeated desperately pleadingly as he finally felt a slight warmth. Yes this was His, he had found him or at least his mind. Why do you hide. You can’t hide from your Zwaarth, he can’t find you if you do. You must come out. he pleaded with Sirai.
As Sirai still battled his body into going closer to the Hatching Sands, he noticed a voice insinuate inside his head that said, Why do you hide. You can’t hide from your Zwaarth, he can’t find you if you do. You must come out. Zwaarth? he thought not sure which of the dragonets it was that had just talked to him. Then all of a sudden, it hit him, that voice in his head could only mean one thing. As if Faranth had answered his prayer, he had Impressed! That knowledge was enough to propel his frozen body rushing forward into the sands as he looked about looking for Zwaarth.
Zwaarth finally caught his first glimpse of S'ai when he came rushing into the sands and like His, Zwaarth happily bounded off to meet His. Mine! There you are! I have been looking everywhere for you, S'ai. he said with a touch of complaint in his tone. But nevermind that, at least I have found you at last. Now you need to feed me. he stated as he stopped in front of his astounded Chosen and locked gazes with S'ai.
Sirai did not believe it at first but... there he was. Zwaarth, his own dragon had stopped in front of him and he had locked gazes with Zwaarth. Instantly, a deep bond of unconditional love was created between them. And as if Faranth had answered not only his prayers but also his dream, he belatedly noticed that Zwaarth was the Golden Male Bronze that he had fallen in love with. Sirai or S'ai as he remembered about the honorific that Zwaarth had called him was speechless and all he could do was give Zwaarth a great big hug.
Zwaarth was glad enough when His had given him a hug but what he needed most was food for his empty belly. Mine, as much as I love this, I am rather hungry. he said. And as if to emphasize his hunger, his stomach gave a loud growling noise.
Oh, of course. Why don't we follow the others to where the meat is? S'ai responded via their telephatic bond. As S'ai led Zwaarth following the others, he did not even wonder at how easy it was to communicate telephatically with Zwaarth.
