Arli led Xenath out to the Bowl after the young gold had woke up from her sleep, complaining about being hungry. I think you eat more and more everyday. Arli silently told the queen as she followed her out into the warm afternoon sunshine. I get bigger and bigger everyday and need to eat more. Xenath replied, obviously uninterested in anything other than eating. Arli smiled softly to herself, pleased with the fact that Xenath was growing like she was suppose to and was a fine and healthy young dragon.
She was also worried. With everyday Xenath not only got bigger but she got older. Southern Weyr had threatened to kidnap her and her sister in order to once again to have a queen. I am one of the Weyr Queens, all dragons would listen to us. If we say we don’t want to leave then we don’t. Xenath told Arli and then pushed her over towards the food wanting to be fed. The young queenrider grinned at the dragon’s logic, wishing it were so, but she had a feeling that not even an order from a young queen would stop them.
Now please can I eat! Xenath asked plaintively. Go ahead. Arli said as she moved over towards the food, intending to cut some up for the queen. Can I hunt this time? Xenath asked as she eyed the heardbeasts. No not until you are older. Arli told her as she began to cut up pieces of meat from a fresh kill to feed to Xenath.

K'lian was walking out in the Weyrbowl, just taking a stroll, his dark blonde hair tied up because he was planning on flying on Redith today. Hello Redith, K'lian said as he patted the blue's hide, Ready to fly? Almost, Redith responded to his dragon. What do you mean? Obviously confused as K'lian was, Redith ignored him. Greetings Xenath, Redith said to the small gold, I hope you are feeling well today? That is when K'lian noticed the Weyrling queen and her rider. K'lian walked over to the Queen rider. Not having met her before, he finnally got a good look at her. She was a beutiful girl of 16 or 17. She had dark brown hair, and was very slender. It looked like a potter carved her, making her perfectly curved at all the right places. She had a few freckles on her face, but she looked very delicate. "Hello Arli," K'lian finnally said after examining her, "My name is K'lian, rider of blue Redith." As K'lian said this he bowed slightly to Arli. She was one fo the few name he coudl remeber. "I hope you and your dragon are feeling well today?"

Xenath eyed the meat hungrily when she suddenly heard the blue dragon nearby. Hello Redtih She replied politely and then spoke to Arli. You know you should greet them too. Xenath told her as she nudged her gently. “Nice to meet you K’lian,” Arli greeted with a soft smile as she looked at the blue and his rider.
“Xenath and I are doing fine. I was just cutting up some food for her.” She explained as she quickly handed some to the young gold. Arli picked up a small cloth she used to wipe her hands nearby and made sure that Xenath was chewing her food instead of swallowing it in chunks she could choke on.
I am feeling well today now that I’ve had something to eat. How about you? Xenath asked curiously as she looked up Redith. “How are you doing today K’lian?” Arli asked politely, hoping to start a conversation.

Redith chuckled at the little queen, noticing the small chuncks of food she was eating. You know, Redith said to Xenath, You may be tiny now, but soon enough, you'll be bigger then me. Soon you may be chuckling at my height compared to yours. For now, I will enjoy being taller then you. Reditih was now just joking with the Xenath, trying to make her laugh. You big flirt, K'lian said to his dragon, You know you'll never actually catch her. I know, Redith said, But she is smaller then me for now. K'lian sighed at his dragon, now turnign is attention to Arli. "I am doing fine," he said, replying to her question, "And it seems the young queen is growing everyday." K'lian did not want to turn the conversation into a one about Southern Weyr. "How old is she agian," K'lian asked, wondering abotu the Queen.

Xenath looked up at the blue unsure if he was joking or doing something else. By the way he said it made her decide that he was just joking with her and she made the sound that was the dragon equivalent of laughter. I wish I could be bigger now so I could catch my own food and carry Arli in the air. I know she would like that. She told Redith with a tinge of longing.
Arli nodded when she heard how the older rider was doing, glad that he was fine. “She is a little over three sevendays old.” She said fondly as she glanced at the gold out of the corner of her eye. Arli was trying to think of something else to say so that the conversation wouldn’t turn into an unwanted subject such as Southern Weyr, but her mind was completely blank.
“How big do you think Xenath will get?” She quickly asked, the first question that popped into her head, that didn’t have to do with Southern.

"Ah I believe that Xenath will grow quite large Arli," K'lian said, "I believe twice, probably three times Redith's height. She will grow very quickly too I must add." He was happy to see that Arli was very concerned about her gold. The little queen was still young. She would grow quite fast, faster then Arli would expect. She had to keep a strong mind in order to control this little queen. Catchingfood is very tough little one, Redith said, And I'm sure she will like being able to ride you. That gives me an idea. Do you think you would be able to support the queen, me, and Arli? Not Xenath. She is getting to big already. You and Arli I could though. "Arli," K'lian asked, "Would you like me and Redith to take you to the beach? Redith cannot support Xenath, I'm sorry. But perhaps Xenath could take a nap while you ride a dragon?" He hoped the little queen was not offended, but he expected that she would. There was no possible way to get there unless they walked, and that would take a couple of hours. Well I geuss they could walk. "Or we could walk to the beach, so that Xenath could come with us?"

Arli had already been a similar answer from him but she had not thought about her queen possibly getting three times the size of Redith. She already had an idea of what it was going to be like when Xenath was older. When they had first met Xenath had been very calm and more relaxed about life, but as she grew older and more confident more and more of her dominance showed. Arli was supposed that was a good thing because queens kept the Weyr running smooth along with there rider.
One day I will fly with the others. Xenath told Redith proudly as she looked slightly up, towards the sky. She turned to look at Arli at the sound of going somewhere. I want to go and I don’t want to be away from you. She told Arli and allowed Redith to hear what she was saying so he could tell his rider how she felt.
“I think it is best she comes. She doesn’t want to be away from me and I possibly couldn’t leave her. Southern could…..” She suddenly stopped short after she realized that she was about to ramble on and on and was veering towards a subject that no one really spoke about.

"Ah of course," K'lian said, ignoring her last comment, "We shall walk there." Lets go Redith. Redith nodded and started walking with him to the outside of the Weyr. He hoped she would follow him outl, hopefully she wouldnt' need anything to go. Mayeb though. He was waiting for her to be ready.
((OOC: How bout you say in your next post that they both walked toward beach, and you make new thread at the beach.))
